The Conference Hotel: the Hilton Diagonal Mar
The Hilton Diagonal Mar is just about 15 minutes from central Barcelona, opposite the Convention Centre and about 200 m from the beach. With 30 square metres the rooms are very spacious, have city or sea view, a desk with ergonomic chair, a 28-inch plasma TV, and a spacious bathroom with 3-jet body shower. All rooms have high-speed internet access and a laptop-size mini safe.
euroPLX 44 Barcelona will be held in the Ballroom (all sections).
Restaurants include the Indigo Restaurant & Terrace, a modern restaurant with stunning Mediterranean views, open from 7:00 a.m. for breakfast until 11:30 p.m. for dinner, and the Pistaccio Lobby Bar & Lounge for lunch and dinner.
Catalonia's largest shopping centre, the Diagonal Mar, is just across the street.

From the Barcelona International Airport to the Hotel
From the Barcelona International Airport the hotel can easily be reached by taxi within 20 to 30 minutes. The fare is around 30-40 Euro, depending on time of the day and the number of baggage pieces.
The Weather
Barcelona enjoys a Mediterranean climate, with mild winters and warm summers, pleasant temperatures all the year round. The average temperature in November is 16 degrees Celsius. Rainfall, which can be occasionally heavy, averages less than 1,000 mm a year (about 60 mm in November).
The Currency: the EURO
The Spanish currency is the Euro. There is an easy to use Currency Calculator on the Web which calculates rates provided by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
Major credit cards such as Visa, American Express, Mastercard, Diners are accepted in most places.
Electricity
220-volt AC, 50Hz, two-pin continental plugs (round-prong plugs with side grounding contacts). Adaptors are available at the hotel and at the airport.
