64th Pharma Partnering Conference Attended by Top Executives

Vienna, 30 May 2017: Pharmaceutical companies from 42 countries and five continents dispatched their top business development executives to euroPLX 64 Vienna, including Australia and New Zealand and, for the first time, Azerbaijan. Each of the 175 participating companies had almost 25 pre-scheduled one-on-one business meetings to discuss in-licensing, out-licensing, contract manufacture, acquisition of product portfolios, co-marketing, co-distribution and similar business development matter. With a part of the companies having been represented by several delegates with differing agendas, each of these had an average of 21.9 pre-arranged meetings.

euroPLX 64 Vienna was attended by top-level executives and decision makers: Four owners, two chairmen, seven presidents, five vice presidents, 10 CEOs, 49 directors, 30 heads of business development, and 121 managers. Since euroPLX is predominantly marketed by word of mouth, attendance shows a definitive shift towards top level management.

Says Dr. Norbert Rau, initiator of euroPLX: „We are getting more and more unintentional support from our competitors who coax target customers at international fairs into attending their events. But once they attend, they quickly learn of the advantages of attending the more effective original and subsequently register for euroPLX right away. Some of them even register for euroPLX while they are still attending the competing event. This is very cost-effective marketing.“

The 65th Pharma Partnering Conference, euroPLX 65 London, will be held on November 27 and 28, 2017, at the Sofitel London Heathrow which was selected to meet the requirements of a busy year end. Delegates can fly in, do business, and fly out again: They can leave the plane and check in at the Sofitel London Heathrow within 40 minutes via the free inter-terminal transfer.
