The 60th Pharma Partnering Conference in Barcelona was again one of the most successful partnering events of the industry.
250 pharmaceutical companies from 45 countries and all continents sent their top business development executives to Barcelona in order to have an average of 26.6 pre-arranged one-on-one business negotiations per company at euroPLX 60 Barcelona which was held at the Fairmont Hotel Rey Juan Carlos I on March 7 and 8.
The 356 delegates offered and looked for business opportunities in approved and clinical phase III products, and more than 10% were interested in pre-clinical and phase I/II developments. The therapeutic areas which attracted most of their interest were Gastroenterology, followed by pain management and CNS/Neurology, with a strong focus on prescription drugs.
