The classic (standard) rooms have 28 square metres and are equipped with flat-screen TV, laptop-size mini safe, ironing board, coffee/tea making facilities and bathroom with bath and separate walk-in shower.

From the London Heathrow Airport to the Hotel
The Sofitel London Heathrow is connected to Heathrow Terminal 5 via a walkway, to other terminals via free inter-terminal transfers, and to central London by a 21-minute express train.
After leaving the air plane (and baggage claim) take the Heathrow Express (free of charge) to Terminal 5. There go up two escalators to the arrival area. On arrival level go left and follow the Hotel/Sofitel sign to the elevator. Push "Sofitel" button. Turn right after exiting the lift and follow the signs to the Sofitel reception via walkway and escalator. This takes about 40 minutes.
The Weather
Heathrow's end of February average 24-h-temperatures are some 4-5 degrees Celsius. Average rainfall is a low 36 mm. In England, an umbrella is always a good piece of travel equipment.
The Currency: the Pound
The currency used in the United Kingdom is the British Pound Sterling. There is an easy to use Currency Calculator on the Web which calculates rates provided by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
Major credit cards such as Visa, American Express, Mastercard, Diners are accepted in most places.
Electricity
110/120 and 220/240-volt AC, 50Hz (in the hotel), three-pin British plugs. Adaptors are available at the hotel and at the airport.
